Welcome to the Seasonal Bulletin—a new series I’ll be using to keep you in touch with the Cosmic Calendar, cyclical happenings, radical resources, and more.

TAURUS SEASON

Ladies,

We are in Taurus season. A season ruled by Venus. Guided by sensuality. Touched by the textures and delights of an Earth that is warming and coming alive. Is is the season mirrored in our Follicular Phases and the first trimester of pregnancy.

It is here we touch the fertile soil and witness the awkward blossoming of tiny plants who beat the odds of late Spring frosts and April floods.

As Gaia awakens her voice and the diverse ecosystems of the Northern Hemisphere, we are immersed in a living reflection of Taurus’s rulership over the throat center and its corresponding chakra, Vishuddha.

Although Taurus is ruled by the Earth element, the throat is ruled by Air, making the throat an esoteric metaphor for the power of speech as it solidifies into solid body medicine.

“Taurus is an earth sign, but earth (soul) is precipitated aerial elements. This chemical fact was known to the scientists of the Taurian age (over 4000 years ago); therefore they carved the emblem of their zodiacal sign with wings.”1

Of course, this is the center from which we express ourselves and is the location of the thyroid gland, also ruled by Taurus and the 2nd house.

In honor of this beautiful cosmic mirror, you will find in the Resources section of this month’s newsletter a focus on thyroid health.

Women are undoubtedly moving through an epidemic of thyroid healing in the Western world. Although it may appear to be a crisis, I believe in it to be a powerful portal of awakening and a calling to our more natural and wild selves.
