Today we’re going to explore some radical truths about “infertility” and Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ARTs) with the intention of bringing context and healing to this challenging space in preconception. We’ll begin this discussion by exploring the definitions of infertility throughout the years, what that means for preconception, and how to embrace the archetype of The Mother regardless of the conception of a child, before pivoting into an exploration of tools such as IVF and what they mean for the health of women and their children. We’ll close with a brief introduction to the notion that ARTs are paving the way for Transhumanist philosophies that ultimately hope to guide our culture into a Posthumanist world.
