Welcome to the bonus content for Episode 08 of The Cosmic Conceptions Podcast!

Listen to Episode 08

The intention of this week’s material is to help you connect with the archetype of The Mother, whether or not she is expressed through the conception of a child.

Fin DAC x Kevon Ledo, ‘Sun Goddess I’, 2018

Before we explore some ways in which The Mother can be expressed, it is important not to use this exercise to bypass the difficult feelings that can arise in the preconception space.

Sadness, grief, and anger are all valuable for the integration of your emotional body and need to be fully felt in order to be released.

Some ways in which you can facilitate this include:

  • Naming the emotions.

  • Expressing the way the emotion feels through movement.

  • Expressing the way the emotion sounds by making vocal noises.

  • Assigning a persona to the emotion so you can create space between yourself and the feeling while witnessing “them” and facilitating a relationship with “them”.

  • Writing about the emotions and thoughts that accompany them.

  • Creating rituals that assist in feeling and releasing them.

  • Asking others to witness you (without providing feedback or commentary, like “poor you”/ “it’s going to be okay”).
